Music has been a major force in my life since I was a child. My undergraduate degree (Indiana University) is in Piano Performance. I worked as a self-employed, contract musician for many years: rehearsing and performing Broadway musicals, providing live piano music for charity, fundraising, and corporate events, preparing vocal and piano students for auditions and recitals, and contracting with high schools and universities as an accompanist or vocal coach.
Eventually, the lure of a consistent paycheck won out, and I moved more toward my “other half” – strategic analysis and design. I still play and perform in worship, rock, and jazz bands, but for fun rather than steady income. Below is a short synopsis of my work history after my undergrad degree.

- Accompanied and coached advanced music majors, both instrumentalists and vocalists, in lessons, recitals, competitions
- Rehearsed with and coached vocalists of opera and Broadway productions
- Taught individual lessons and group piano classes to university non-majors and for the Music Prep School

- Recruited and maintained clientele in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and North Carolina for corporate, bridal, and social piano/voice performances. Developed business by personally creating all advertising products with consistent design and branding. Constant use of marketing, website design, MS Office, writing/editing, telephone, accounting, and customer service skills.
